About the Role

The Ministry of Health is recruiting 164 Pharmacists for government service. Selected candidates complete a 6-month orientation course before placement in government hospitals island-wide.

Responsibilities

Complete a 6-month orientation and coordination course conducted in English
Dispense medications and manage pharmacy operations in government hospitals
Provide drug information and patient counselling
Maintain pharmacy records as per government protocols

Requirements

B.Pharm or B.Sc. Pharmacy degree (minimum 120 credits) from a recognized university
Two GCE A/L passes in Combined Mathematics, Biology, Physics, or Agricultural Science; credit pass in Chemistry
Registration with Sri Lanka Medical Council
Sri Lankan citizen aged 18-35 years as of 08 July 2026
Willingness to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka
