Head of Quality and Production - Intimate Apparel

About the Role

Senior embedded role combining factory floor quality inspections and production coordination for a US intimate apparel brand's Sri Lanka manufacturing operations, with reporting to the US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and post-production quality inspections during manufacturing runs
• Identify and escalate issues related to stitch tension, thread quality, elastic application, and seam construction
• Generate photo-documented quality reports for the US-based team
• Review technical specifications and recommend manufacturing improvements
• Lead root cause analysis for production defects
• Maintain purchase order data in production systems
• Facilitate communication between US team and factory regarding timelines
• Track open items and provide status visibility

Requirements

• 10-15 years hands-on intimate apparel production and quality experience
• Deep technical expertise in stitch types, thread tension, elastic attachment, and lingerie construction
• Proven senior-level quality or production management background
• Demonstrated ability to engage assertively with factory management
• Production tracking system proficiency
• Sri Lanka-based with reliable on-site factory access
• Excellent written English communication skills
