Leaf Field Officer

About the Role

Support tobacco leaf farming operations in Kandy by guiding farmers, managing depot operations, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. BAT's agricultural field team role.

Responsibilities

• Identify productive farming areas and allocate crop inputs to meet production targets
• Provide farmer guidance, training, and loan recovery support
• Manage depot operations including administration and BAT Leaf system
• Maintain safety standards and zero LTIR culture
• Collect and report ESG data; promote sustainable practices
• Implement programmes on crop diversification and community livelihood enhancement

Requirements

• BSc or Diploma in Agriculture or relevant qualification
• Minimum 1 year agricultural field experience
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Knowledge of EH&S policies and best practices
